The most heavy duty of coated abrasive discs, full resin bond on vulcanized (cotton fibers treated under intense pressure and heat) fiber backing. Designed for applications ranging from heavy stock removal to surface blending. Used with back up pads on portable angle grinders. Intended for use with a right angle grinder or pistol grip air sander, the Red Heat® F981 medium grit fiber locking disc features a ceramic alumina abrasive for cool and fast cutting action on stainless steel, cast iron and soft carbon steels. For improved strength and minimal tearing, the disc offers a heavy fiber backing, while advanced resin bond technology provides durability and superior grain adhesion. This disc comes with a Speed Change® arbor mount that enables quick installation and disc changes without the need for tools.
