ContiTech 20440983 QS51 Wing Nut Coupler, 1 in x 1-11-1/2 Nominal, NPF End Style, Steel

A minimum spill, thread-to-connect, quick coupling designed for use with most industrial fluids. It can be connected under full system pressure by rotating the female threaded heavy-duty ductile cast iron wing nut onto the mating male threaded tip. Wing nut is specifically designed to withstand hammer blows during connection and disconnection under pressure. Applications include "wet-line-kits" used widely on dump trailers, mobile drilling rigs, mining equipment, large mobile equipment, salt spreaders and chemical transfer units. Minimum air inclusion during connection and minimum fluid spillage during disconnection. Available in electroless nickel plated steel to provide a rugged, less costly alternative to brass that is well suited for most applications. Also available in brass body tip and poppet.
