Killark® KDES60050 KDE Enclosure Accessories Drain and Breather, Stainless Steel

Class I, Divisions 2, Groups A, B, C, D Class I, Zones 1 and 2 Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, G Class III, Divisions 1 and 2

• Silicone O-ring supplied as standard and suitable for use in a -55 deg C to 80 deg C temperature range
• Internal 316 stainless steel locknut supplied as standard
• When tightened to the proper torque the joint makes a hose down tight seal for type 4, 4X and IP66 application
• When installed in the bottom they act as a gravity fed drain to expel moisture from condensation that can build up in electrical enclosures
• When installed in the top of an enclosure it acts as a breather allowing air to enter and prevent a vacuum which can cause the drain not to flow properly
• The KDE are offered in aluminum, 304 series stainless steel, 30% glass filled nylon and 316 stainless steel
• Thread sizes 1/2 in and 3/4 in NPT and Metric size M20 and M25

For when installed in the bottom of a thin wall enclosure the KDE allows water from condensation to drain continuously out of the enclosure. The drain breathers are installed through clearance holes and held secured with a internal locknut
