ONE OF THE LARGEST SUPPLIERS IN THE INDUSTRY. Count on Generac Industrial Power to provide the right product to meet your demands. With Generac’s expansive product line, you’ll find the reliability, consistency and flexibility to hand any power need.
Source Atlantic is a distributor and service provider of Generac Industrial Power Systems, offering a wide range of generator solutions. Our factory-trained, certified technicians offer a variety of technical services including on-site generator assessments, start-up commissioning services, product support, product registration & activation, air cooled and commercial generator training, and 24/7 emergency repair. We make sure power is always available to our customers.
  •  Diesel-fueled generators are an efficient choice for high kW applications, as well as for facilities where code requirements call for on-site fuel storage, like hospitals and 911 call centers.
  • To provide the best possible diesel-fueled power solutions, Generac identifies and pre-qualifies diesel engines proven in real world applications under adverse conditions.
  • Generac works hand-in-hand with best-in-class diesel engine manufacturers to optimize designs specifically to meet Generac requirements.
  • Long running times: because natural gas is supplied by a utility, refueling is not an issue.
  • Fuel reliability: with natural gas, there’s no on-site fuel storage or ongoing maintenance required in order to keep a clean and reliable supply of fuel.
  • Fewer emissions: natural gas produces fewer emissions than diesel.
  • Generac Bi-Fuel™ generators start on diesel fuel and add natural gas as load is applied, until the unit runs primarily on natural gas.
  • Unlike practically every other bi-fuel solution on the market, Generac Bi-Fuel™ generators are fully integrated solutions. That means every fuel train component, every sensor, every actuator is specifically designed, engineered, and factory tested to work together.
  • Generac Bi-Fuel™ generators have the added benefit of being EPA compliant from the factory – the only bi-fuel system on the market that can make such a claim.

What is Generator Paralleling?

Generac has taken the complexity out of  paralleling total power generators with our Modular Power Systems (MPS). MPS is a transformational technology that eliminates the expense and space requirements required with traditional paralleling solutions.

In the past, you had to purchase pricey third-party switchgear. Then you had to find suppliers and electricians to set-up the system and make it work when you needed it. Generac provides integrated paralleling, simplifying the entire system.

How Does Generator Paralleling Work?  Our integrated MPS offers many benefits as opposed to the traditional single genset configuration including:
  • Redundancy: in most applications, the loads that require the highest degree of reliability are only a percentage of the generator’s total capacity. We provide N+1, N+2, and more, offering up to 99.999% reliability.
  • Reduced Space Requirements: using smaller kW generators offers greater weight distribution, making rooftop installations more feasible. These generators are also shorter and more compact so locating them in parking garages becomes a possibility.
  • Serviceability: a single unit can be taken out of service for maintenance or repair while other units remain available should an outage occur.
  • Flexibility: gensets can be added to a current system depending on growth. This allows owners to make a smaller initial investment and scale accordingly based on increased power demands.
  • Fuel Redundancy: while some applications require diesel generators to meet on-site fuel requirements, our diesel generators can be paralleled with our natural gas or bi-fuel generators for significantly expanded runtimes.
  • Fully Tested: our in-house factory test lab ensures unsurpassed peace of mind because if our generators pass our tests, they’ll pass your tests, too.
The costs to specify and install two lower kW paralleled versus one larger kW are quite similar. This makes choosing Generac’s MPS a smart decision for all types of and sizes of facilities or businesses.

Generac offers a full line of industrial transfer switches to meet varying needs from light industrial applications.

All the way to the most demanding critical installations. Generac’s flexible platforms offer a variety of switching technologies for customized solutions to meet any projects needs.

Generac GTS transfer switches come standard with status lights that indicate switch position and source status, a programmable exerciser, independent voltage pickup and dropout adjustments, and utility phase loss conditions. Our front access test mode switch allows the entire standby system to be tested in either normal or fast test mode.

Generac HTS transfer switches are a microprocessor-based design for operation in conjunction with the PowerManager® H-100 or G-100 controller. HTS switches monitor utility voltage and frequency and communicate via a RS-485 communication link to the generator controllers. External LED indicate switch position and source status. An external, 3-position test switch allows testing in either normal or fast mode without opening the cabinet.

The Power Series Transfer Switch (PSTS) line features 3 different platforms with multiple technologies to offer the most flexible solutions up to 5,000 AMPs. All platforms are rated for 3-cycle operation with highly reliable mechanisms. Service entrance models are 100 percent rated and available with integral overcurrent protection.

Generac’s Manual PSTS switches are ideal for use in applications having a need for a mobile generator. All switches come with standard, code compliant interlocked cam-lock connections, which makes them reliable for use in these applications.

The TX Series switches are both Generac designed and built in-house with exceptional features that meet, and exceed, any application needs. These transfer switches have some of the highest Withstand and Closing Ratings (WCR) with optional 3 cycle ratings available. In addition, these switches offer no PPE needed for controller use, firmware updates, or data downloads when the enclosure door is installed.
